The undergirding word theme for this prayer time was: “trustworthy.“
It’s general meaning can be summed up in words such as “dependable, diligent capable; entrusted to guard; to be vigilant to watch over something or someone; worthy of being trusted.”
There are several scriptures that speak to God’s “trust-worthy-ness” but the following resonated in prayer time:
2 Samuel 7:28-29
Psalm 119:86; “All of your commands are trustworthy…”
Revelation 22:6
The disciples were ordinary, men, who became “a crew”, that Jesus knew were trustworthy, even before they (the disciples) knew they were trustworthy!
We set the atmosphere for the character trait of “trustworthiness“ be found in all of our county leaders, departments and households in our communities.
A quote by Erwin W. Lutzer was shared:
“God is not in the business of helping the humanly strong become stronger, rather he takes the weak and makes them strong in himself.”
We opened with the prayer that Jesus taught to the disciples:
Matthew 6:9-13
Then released in prayer the following scriptures:
Proverbs 16:3
Isaiah 58:6-7
Isaiah 61:1-3
Romans 8:1
Intercessor prayed: (Grateful)
James 4:5-7
James 1:5
James 3:13-14
Intercessor prayed: with a grateful heart that we are blessed with the privilege of prayer; Psalm 118:24.
Closed with: Romans 15:13
