Stand in The Light | Colorado Prays

THE CURSE IS REVERSED

The curse of death entered the world when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Gen 2:17). Jesus Christ reversed the curse of death when he died on the cross and rose again. “Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Him will live, even though he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Him shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26). You have the option to believe that Jesus reversed the curse of sin and death. You CAN choose to stand in the Light of Jesus Christ.

Stand in the Light is an invitation to enter in to, and live in, the presence and power of the Lord God Almighty – no matter your circumstances. The Lord who created you and redeemed you through the shed blood of Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. (Duet 31:6, Heb 13:5) If you choose to earnestly seek Him, He will continually restore you to your victorious destiny and purpose. He will lift you to new heights of faith. You will be astounded at the miraculous work He will do in your life as you prepare yourself for Him and yield to the working of His Spirit. (Ps 119:2, Heb 11:6)

These Stand in The Light Keys have been compiled by a group of intercessors known as Colorado Watchmen. It is a compilation of Keys (disciplines and resources) that can guide you in pursuing a deeper relationship with Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. If you are willing, the Keys included in Stand in The Light will empower and encourage you to live in intimate fellowship and faith in Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.

Foundational Truths

Allow these four foundational truths to guide your thoughts and they will draw you closer to the Lord and keep you intimately connected to Him in every circumstance:

God is good, always. (Ps 34:8, Ps 107:1, Rom 8:28)
God is God. He is Sovereign, All-Powerful, All Knowing, Unchanging and nothing is impossible with Him. (Gen 17:1, 1 John 3:20, Mal 3:6, Jer 32:17, Rev 4:11)
Jesus Christ is sufficient to meet your every need. (2 Cor 12:9, Phil 1:6, 2 Pet 1:3-4)
You are significant! You were created with a Kingdom purpose. (Jer 29:11, Rom 5:8, Eph 2:10, Eph 4:16, 1 Pet 1:18-19)

Grow in Intimacy with God

There is always more to be had when it comes to pursuing your relationship with God. David sought intimacy with God in Ps 25:7 when he asked God…. “When you think of me, see me as one you love and care for”. That is intimacy!

Learning to seek God through the Stand in The Light Keys, will bring ever increasing clarity and delight in your spiritual life. The Stand in The Light Key Ring can walk you through three disciplines of developing consistently greater intimacy with Father, Son and Holy Spirit:

Bow Down - Humble yourself and submit to God as you learn your identity in Christ (Zeph 2:3, Is 57:15, Matt 11:29, 1Pet 5:6, Rom 7:6, 2Cor 5:17, Gal 6:15)

Rise Up – Understand, accept and walk in your authority as a son of God. Put on whole armor of God (Eph 2:6, Luke 10:19, 1Jn 1:7, Rom 6:4, Eph 1:5)

Charge Forward – Follow God’s will, living out your destiny and purpose to advance God’s Kingdom in love everywhere you go. (Matt 11:12, Rom 12:2, Is 40:31, 1Cor 16:13-14)

Receive Grace

Know that you are saved by grace, not by works (Eph 2:8). You have a personal journey to make in pursuing a deeper relationship with God. Do NOT treat the Keys in this Stand in The Light initiative as a check list that you need to complete. Prayerfully, let the Lord guide you in your own journey to deepen your relationship with Him. Look for the specific keys that resonate with you and start with them, then engage with other keys as you feel led. Do this through each of the 3 phases of this initiative: Bow Down, Rise Up and Charge Forward.

Bow Down - Resource Keys

(Zeph 2:3, Is 57:15, Matt 11:29, 1Pet 5:6, 2Cor 5:17, Gal 6:15)

Jesus said in Mark 10:15 “Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." This powerful statement is packed with promise for fulfillment of the story He has written for your life. It speaks of a humble of heart from which you can learn of His power, faithfulness, wisdom - - - all of His wonderful, innumerable characteristics. This childlike posture of humility also allows your soul to come into alignment with your identity as His child and heir of His Kingdom promises. Humility is the key; we come humbly, as a child; bowed down and ready to receive all He has already paid for. As a new creation/creature in Christ, we begin in the humble posture of a child to learn our identity in Christ.

Rise Up - Resources Keys

(Eph 2:6, Luke 10:19, Eph 1:5, Eph 6:11-17, Rom 8:14-17)

In this next phase, you are encouraged to Rise Up to know, and walk in, your authority in Christ.1Peter 5:6 indicates that we need to both Bow Down and Rise Up. In this verse, Peter tells believers to “humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God (Bow Down), that He may exalt you in due time (Rise Up). The word “exalt” translates to mean “elevate” and denotes maturity; the concept of “coming of age”. The goal in this phase of Stand in The Light, is to allow God to transform you into greater spiritual and personal maturity with greater understanding of your authority as an adopted son of the Father and joint heir of Christ. You will learn to stand firm in in the authority of Jesus Christ wearing the full armor of God (Eph 6: 10-18).

Take your time going through several of the Keys in this phase of Stand in The Light. Receive deeply the love that Father God has for you and learn to accept the authority He has given you to co-labor with Him. Maintain the humble posture of a child as you work through the some of these next keys and receive the freedom that God has for you as a “son” in His Kingdom.

Charge Forward - Resource Keys

Now that you have Bowed Down to know your identity as a child of God and have Risen Up to discover your authority in Christ Jesus, it is time to Charge Forward in your purpose and assignment in the Kingdom of God. You have been “knighted” in the armor of God and trained in His boot camp of prayer and The Word. You are now ready seek His knowledge and wisdom regarding your destiny and calling. In greater spiritual maturity living a sacrificial life, let the Lord show you how to co-labor with Him to advance His Kingdom. This is about getting outside of yourself, connecting with others AS ONE (John 17:1-26) in the spirit, and serving those you are called to serve (Matt 28:18-20).

Be ready with a willing heart, to obey without getting glory; (Isa 48:11). The Glory is the Lord’s and He will not share it with another.
