Present today: Sue Bradley, Laurel Fowler, Linda Martin, Vi Probert, and Donna Reyman
Revelation 5:12 NKJV “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”
Praise our Mighty God for this past Sunday, May 17th, when President Trump read the 2 Chronicles 7:14 prayer and called for a rededication of America to God. The COPrays proclamations were read at the Colorado Capitol and at the Arvada City Hall Annex the same day.
Lord, we pray and repent for Colorado and our nation. Joel 2:12-13 Amp. “Even now,” says the Lord. “Turm and come to Me with all your heart [in genuine repentance]. With fasting and weeping and mourning [until every barrier is removed and the broken fellowship is restored]; rip your heart in pieces [in sorrow and contrition] and not your garments.” Now return [in repentance] to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness [faithful to His covenant with His people]: and He relents [His sentence of] evil [when His people genuinely repent].
Nation
· Prayers for protection for President Trump, his family, and his cabinet.
· Prayers that the Spirit of the Lord would rest upon President Trump.
Isaiah 11:2 NKJV “The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. “
· Lord, bring Your humility to the President of the United States.
· We ask You would surround President Trump with men and women giving Godly counsel.
· Lord, bring Your strategies to our President and his cabinet to end the war with Iran. Father, send Your warring angels to fight the Prince of Persia talked about in the book of Daniel who is still creating havoc today in the Middle East. We pull down that stronghold in the Name of Jesus! Lord, be with the people of Iran.
· Lord, we ask for the Sandy Fire in California to be extinguished. Bring the rain, Lord, and keep the winds calm. Lord, bring a change in politics in California with the next election.
Colorado
· Lord, we are praying Your will for the choice for the next Governor of Colorado.
· There were many unrighteous bills passed in this recent legislative session. Lord, speak to Governor Polis to veto bills still on his desk.
· We are thankful for the Governor’s action releasing Tina Peters from prison on June 1st. Lord, protect her from harm. Bring good health to Tina.
· We thank You, Lord, for the recent snow and rain to Colorado.
· Lord, bring strong Christian leaders into our Colorado legislature.
· These are tough times for families and small businesses. Lord, bring them Your knowledge and help.
Elections
· We prayed for honest elections in Colorado and the nation.
· HB26-1113 is a bill passed at the request of Jena Griswold this session.
A few considerations per Kevin Lundberg for this 44-page bill:“It seems to fully repeal any process to challenge improper voter registrations, it extends the days for voting, requires all colleges of 1000 students or more (not just state schools) to have access to voting on campus, and it creates more details for rank choice voting.” Also, the fiscal note states that up to $715,300 to come out of FY 2027-28 budget.
· Lord, bring more citizens to register to vote. Thank you for what the GOP is doing to reach out to schools by helping to get young people registered.
· Prayed for Vi and the others participating in the IVoterGuide for this election cycle.
· Lord, we ask You to bring Your Truth into this election cycle. We pray for righteous leaders to be elected.
· We pray for the Republican Party to realign under strong righteous leaders. Bring unity at Your direction into the Colorado GOP.
Schools and Children
· Tracy Dorland, Superintendent of Jefferson County Schools has resigned and is moving on. Lord, bring in a righteous leader to fill her position.
· Testimony from a parent at Pomona High School that her daughter’s outdoor lab was managed well by the school.
· We prayed for Jeffco Kids, Wiz Kids, and other organizations helping children.
· Lord, we agree with President Trump that prayer should return to public schools.
· We prayed that the gender mutilations and confusion of gender would be pulled down in the Name of Jesus! Lord, bring Your help and give the children hope.
· We bind deception over the minds of the young people in Jesus Name!
· Bring refreshing to teachers and administrators during the summer break. Lord, bring strong Christians into leadership in our schools.
Revival
Lord, we ask for changed hearts seeking to know You. The strength and the faith of the young people can transform our state and nation---bless them, Lord. Bless the work of Your Church during this time. We pray for the renewing of minds to know You. Remove the scales from eyes so Your Truth can be received. May the Gospel be a clarion call to all near and far! Give all of us Your strength and courage to stand with our commander, the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
