Karen prayed and we put on the full armor of God today. The battle is fierce. She read Philippians 1:27,28 NIV “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.”
We confess our sins before You today, Lord. Help us to see Your Truth.
Discussion and Announcements
Karen Pennington, Colorado Director of Concerned Women of America and several others in her group presented at the Breakfast Club at Faith Church (formerly Faith Bible Chapel) on September 10th. The organization’s focus is on the happenings and people at the Colorado Legislature. Contact Karen at Colorado.cwfa.org or 303-903-5283.
Faith Church has invited candidates running for office to have a table in the Atrium at the church from 11:30 to 12:30 pm on Sunday, September 20th. There are currently 20 participants. Faith Church is located at 6250 Wright St., Arvada, CO 80004.
Karen and her family attended the celebration of 911 in Broomfield. It was very well done. They have a permanent 911 memorial in Broomfield. Thank You, Lord, for the safety of 911 events in our country.
Politics and Election
Prayers that the voters will receive clarity in understanding from the Blue Book -ballot information booklet- when it comes out in the mail. Lord, if there is no clarity for the voter, may they seek out more information. According to Kevin Lundberg of Protect Kids Colorado (PKC), the 3 propositions, 133, 134 and 135, submitted by PKC, did not receive accurate facts and terminology in the Blue Book. We plead the blood of Jesus over the Blue Book. Lord, we ask deceitful language will be Invisible to human eyes. We ask for Your discernment for the voters. May they vote Your righteousness.
Lord, bring out the Republican, conservative voters to turn in their ballots! We ask there will be awareness of the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) candidates and vote contrary to their platform and influence. Wake up! Wakeup! Walkup! The electorate, Lord.
We ask the members of the Republican Party in Colorado will drop their offenses. This includes Scott Bottoms, Barb Kirkmeyer, and others, those especially in leadership. Lord, we ask You would bring the Republican Party in Colorado into unity.
Government
We bring President Trump before You, Lord. Protect him. He is working hard for our country. Bridle his mouth from speaking foolishly. Give President Trump wisdom to speak. We pray for Your mercy over President Trump.
We lift each of the Supreme Court justices to You, Lord. Put their days before them. May they have wisdom to protect our Constitution. We know they face threats. We bind up the spirit of fear and we loose the love of God over them in Jesus’ Name! Matt.16:19. Keep them and their families safe, Lord. Show Justice Jackson how to grow her faith, Lord. Humble the Supreme Court, Lord. May they not be distracted. Give them great wisdom from You to perform their duties.
There was reporting that President’s Bush and Clinton had warning of a possible attack prior to 911. True or not, may our leaders respond to intel when received. Give them Your wisdom, Lord, to analyze the situation and act. President Trump had warnings and responded to Iran to prevent them from having a nuclear weapon. We ask for clarity in explanation from President Trump on why it was imperative to go to war with Iran. We declare no interference from the media in Jesus’ Name!
Lord, bring Your truth and influence from Your people into every level of government.
Schools and the Youth
Lord, we are thankful Florida is leading the way to teach the children in schools about communism and its history.
Lord, reverse the evil coming into the schools. We ask that the focus on gender will melt away. We ask for good teaching and a good curriculum. May true history be taught in schools. Lord, bless the teachers who know You who are in our schools. Give them influence and favor.
We ask for changing hearts toward God in our youth. Revival in their hearts, Holy Spirit! Hope in You, Jesus!
Lord, break up the disruption and falling away from the truth of the Gospel in our youth and our country. We ask for many salvations!!! We ask for a turning to Your righteousness. Bring down the enemies with their mouths of deceit and disruption. We bind the enemy of lies in Jesus Name! We come against those claiming Christianity in deceit.
Lord, we ask for free speech on college campuses in our country. We ask for conviction from the professors and university staff to allow free speech. Lord, change the universities and colleges in our nation toward Your Truth. We ask that loving our constitution becomes popular again. Foreign nations’ influence be rooted out in Jesus’ Name!
We ask for righteous candidates to prepare to run for school board during the next election cycle.
Churches
Lord, we bring the pastors before You. Give them Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding counsel and might, knowledge and the reverential fear and obedience of the Lord. Isaiah 11:2. Amp.
We remember Daniel; and, in his excellent spirit, counseled and ruled at the request of many leaders in Babylon. We ask for Your excellence coming into the Body of Christ.
We ask for the washing of Your Word to transform lives. We ask hearts of stone would turn to hearts of flesh. Move on hearts, Lord. We ask for a great revival!!! Amen.
