Focus:

Prepare the way of the LORD.

Isaiah 40:3-5: The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord;

Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth; The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Intercession

We can do nothing without You, LORD.

We thank You, LORD, that You are calling out and interceding for us and through us.

We ask for new hunger and thirst for righteousness.

We put You first, LORD.

Col 2:11-15: In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

We reject lethargy and complacency.

We render our flesh dead and ask for Holy Spirit to strengthen us in the inner man.

We ask for help for those in Jeffco to hear and respond to Jesus.

Hosea 6:1-3: Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.2After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.

3Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

Hosea 10:12: Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground,

For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

We ask Holy Spirit to bring conviction of truth.

Holy Spirit, “Come!”

We ask for oneness for the body of Christ.

We declare the body of Christ says, “Yes!” to Jesus.

Ps 42:5: Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

We ask for praise to rise up in Jeffco.

We thank You that You make known the path of life.

We ask for Your kingdom to come and Your will be done in Jeffco.

Draw Your people to You and Your agenda, LORD.

We declare boldness is rising up in the people of God.

We repent of selfishness and self-centeredness.

Ps 51: Have mercy upon me, O God,

According to Your lovingkindness;

According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,

Blot out my transgressions.

2Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,

And cleanse me from my sin.

3For I acknowledge my transgressions,

And my sin is always before me.

4Against You, You only, have I sinned,

And done this evil in Your sight—

That You may be found just when You speak,

And blameless when You judge.

5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,

And in sin my mother conceived me.

6Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,

And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;

Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8Make me hear joy and gladness,

That the bones You have broken may rejoice.

9Hide Your face from my sins,

And blot out all my iniquities.

10Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11Do not cast me away from Your presence,

And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,

And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,

And sinners shall be converted to You.

14Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,

The God of my salvation,

And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

15O Lord, open my lips,

And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

16For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;

You do not delight in burnt offering.

17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,

A broken and a contrite heart—

These, O God, You will not despise.

18Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;

Build the walls of Jerusalem.

19Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,

With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;

Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

We call out for the fire of the Holy Spirit to come and burn out the wood, hay and stubble.

We ask for people to call out to You, LORD.

We ask for re-ignition of fire for the body of Christ that will cause them to see and hear what the Spirit is saying.

We cry out for broken relationships with You and others to be mended.

We ask for forgiveness to flow in place of offense, disappointment and misunderstanding.

We ask for hearts to be healed.

We declare that the soil in people’s hearts is being prepared for the LORD’s work.

We release the wind of Holy Spirit.

We ask for the children of Jeffco to gather to the house of God.

We declare the little children will bring their families back to God.

We ask for the watering of the seeds of heaven that have been planted.

1 Peter 1:13-19: Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

We ask for Pastors, leaders and the body of Christ to be set free from lusts of the flesh and the ways of the world.

We bind up the spirits of suicide and death over Jeffco Schools.

Acts 17:22-34: 22Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.

Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

32And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, “We will hear you again on this matter.” 33So Paul departed from among them. 34However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

We ask for the release of angels to bring life into all in Jeffco Schools.

We ask for the fire of the Holy Spirit to come into Jeffco Schools.

We ask for the God of breakthrough to come.

We proclaim the light will shine and the darkness will not overcome it.

Psalm 19:14: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight,

O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

We ask for favor and the forward movement of the pro-life bills that are before the Colorado State Legislature today.

We ask for the spirit of intercession at the Colorado Capitol to be on target with You, LORD.
