Jefferson County Jail
I have gotten connected to a fellow believer leading Celebrate Recovery at Jefferson County Jail. He has passed on the following prayer requests (that come from the jail Chaplin). As background there is revival happening at the jail with inmates and guards. The Jefferson County Detention Services supervisor Reggie Marinelli has welcomed ministries into the jail to benefit the inmates. This is a new openness that we should PTL for. Below are the most current updates that I am copied on each week.
As background, Jose received the Lord earlier this year, left his gang, and led many inmates to the Lord. In faith, he plead guilty at his trial and received a long sentence in Federal prison.
Nick is another new believer who has taken up sharing Jesus now that Jose has been transferred
PRAY FOR CONTINUIED REVIVAL
Jefferson County Jail Requests:
Continue to pray for Jose who left the jail about 2 weeks ago enroute to a federal prison in Florida. This prison houses many of the nation’s worst criminals and is a violent and dangerous place where both inmates and guards have been killed. Since he was high up in the gang’s chain of command, the gang will not take lightly someone who no longer affiliates with the gang, for whatever reason. Pray for Jose’s safety and for him to find a community of believers that can support him. He had anticipated going to a prison in Texas or California, so this was unexpected. He will arrive around April 17-18, as they slowly transport him across the country. He was allowed to take nothing with him but the clothes they issued him, so his personal Bible and all his other books and belongings have been shipped to his family. He will not be allowed to have them. Pray for God to use him at this new prison just as he did at the jail where many came to know the Lord.
Continue to pray inmate Nick and his family. His wife Christina is having a hard time understanding “all this religious stuff” that’s happened to her husband. However, she agreed to go to church at his behest. After Sunday’s service, she said she’s decided to start attending weekly and asked how she can get involved in a Bible study so she can begin to learn more like her husband – Praise God! Pray she comes to know the Lord as her personal Savior and for their marriage to be restored.

That is an amazing praise report! Thank you for sharing!
