God is calling His ecclesia/body to rise and to be of one accord, to walk in unity, with “one spirit, one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel,” Phil 1:27. Jesus reminds us of the priority of the ONE most important thing in our life, and that is first and foremost our love and passion for God and then for one another. LOVE is the foundation on which He is building His Kingdom and moving through His church. It is the mortar that surrounds and locks in place His living stones that are part of His Kingdom building. Jesus commissioned all of us together to go forth and to be of one accord with a mission to share God’s amazing love, truth and redemption with a hurting and fallen world.
When Jesus called His disciples, He said come, and they dropped what they were doing and followed Him. They committed to following and serving Jesus even if they did not know what was required or before them. Their hearts connected with Jesus, and then they dedicated themselves to Him and to one another. They wanted to be a part of establishing God’s Kingdom on earth, something that was bigger than what they could do singly. With this type and level of commitment and heart, a group of individuals can come together collectively and accomplish whatever they need to do. Nothing is impossible with Jesus as one’s strength and source for all things individually and corporately.
It was quoted by Michael Jordan, (the greatest basketball player of all time), “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” It is this and much more! As an athlete that played many team sports, I learned that to win it takes a team that plays with heart and is committed to working together and willing to embrace each other’s strengths and weaknesses. By helping one another to be the best they could be, it benefited the team’s overall performance and ability to win. My team did this, and as we dedicated ourselves to one another and our established goals, we came together as a cohesive force to attain those goals and crush our opponents. It was not one individual that won the games, but was won by every single player on the team and the heart and passion they played with. Together we left everything we had on the court holding nothing back. With this mindset, heart and level of commitment we won our conference and should have taken the state title, but that’s another story.
Matt 18:19-20 it says, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”. NKJV
Jesus himself said in John 14:12-13, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” NKJV
In both these passages we see encouragement to come together and to believe, and in Jesus Name, ask for the things we need and He will do it for His Father’s glory! Jesus also tells us that the works He has done we too will do them and be able to do more of them. We have more time on earth than what Jesus did, so we have the time for God to accomplish more works through us. God is not calling us to do more in our strength, but to believe and ask Him for greater (in number) works to be completed according to His will and purposes. So, as we receive from Jesus and release to this world, we will bring honor and glory to our Father in heaven. KSN, we are in a time of supernatural signs and wonders, that God will use to get people’s attention and bring their hearts back to Him.
As we come together in oneness with our hearts steadfast on God, He will move and do things in and through us collectively that we have not seen or experienced in our lifetime so far. So, keep your heart set and ready for the next advance for His Kingdom! Are you ready!
Lord I humbly come before You and rebuke and come against any disbelief, doubt, or hardness of heart that would impede Your commission for us to go forth into all the world and preach your gospel to every creature. To baptize those that believe and are washed in Your blood and are saved. By Your name we cast out demons and lay hands on the sick to receive your healing and restoration. Lord, I pray for that oneness You spoke about in John 17 asking Your Father for that same oneness that You and the Father share to be prominent within KSN. I pray that all who believe in You for a spiritual oneness and unity would be seen and manifested in KSN, and that it would be a witness to Your divine mission in Colorado and our Nation!
Lord bind us together with your cords of Love, for the world is continually trying to divide and separate us through anger, fear, offense and jealousies and so much more. Lord, help us to see ourselves as you see us, and to see others through your lens and eyes. Help KSN to embrace and celebrate our uniqueness and differences which don’t divide but bring diversity in and through your Love. Help us to move as in one accord, loving one another as You have loved us. I pray that you are glorified through us as our Father has been glorified through You Lord Jesus! Thank you for loving and choosing us first, and asking us to partner with You as you build your Kingdom and infill Colorado with your Holy presence.
