Romans 5:1-5 KJV “Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience, and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.”
We come to You, Lord, in prayer and thanksgiving. Gather our conversations before You, Lord. May we pray as You would have us pray.
We bind the spirit of rulers in darkness with their snares and evil plans over the State of Colorado in Jesus’ Name! We release righteousness and truth now in the pathway of Arvada, Jefferson County and Colorado! We loose the Spirit of the Lord in strength and truth. Cover our state, Lord!
The Colorado legislative special session begins at the Capitol on August 21st to make decisions on how to solve the budget deficit issue. We ask for Godly wisdom to prevail during the session. We ask they will not excel themselves above God. Stop the words coming from the mouths of those legislators and Governor Polis that do not conform to Your will, Father. We ask the words that are not good for the citizens of Colorado fall to the ground in Jesus’ Name!
Linda Martin recently went with a group of believers to pray and walk around the Capitol seven times. They felt a sense of defilement as there was brown grass and some dead trees. There was homelessness on the grounds. Police were performing an arrest. There are four feet by 18-inch traffic bollards on the south side of the capital to block traffic. There was a pioneer woman statute on the west side of the Capitol that was taken down in 2020 during the riots. There is grass growing inside of the remaining statute base with ugly plywood painted white covering it. The statute was of a relative of a woman in Linda’s church. The statue is preserved but has not been erected again. Linda said the lack of respect for the Capitol is obvious and presented a spirit of fear. But God! The group is planning another trip to the Capitol soon.
Jim and Karen Morgan attended the Arvada City Council meeting. Before the vote to give the Arvada Center 1.6 million, there was a good discussion to the fact they need accountability for how the money is spent. The Arvada Center charges are too high for many to afford. The vote passed to give the Arvada Center the money. Karen did research while in the meeting and found the population of Arvada has been decreasing since the 2020 census. Lord, be with the city council of the City of Arvada and the leadership in our city. Call them to your account. [note below regarding the population of Arvada].
Arvada is a city located in Jefferson County, Colorado. Arvada has a 2025 population of 119,461. Arvada is currently declining at a rate of -0.81% annually and its population has decreased by -3.93% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 124,343 in 2020. Discussion and prayer for election integrity to come to Colorado. Kevin Lundberg’ s recent guest column in The Rocky Mountain Voice has a good discussion. Jena Griswold, Secretary of State, has been in the news and has vowed to preserve mail-in ballots as the gold standard. In the meantime, many of us wonder if the elections in Colorado have been accurate with untampered results. Lord, we ask You to reveal more truth about Colorado elections! We ask for the next Secretary of State to be a righteous man or woman determined to preserve fair and accurate elections.
Lord, we ask for honest elections in our country. Expose voter fraud. Bring it to the front. We declare and decree over Colorado--bring down arrogance and pride! Bring down the mocking and perversions in Jesus Name! May the plans of the enemy backfire.
We prayed for justice for Tina Peters, a Gold Star mother and former Mesa County Clerk, who is in jail for revealing the truth about the Dominion voting machines. We ask for You to improve Tina’s health and minister to her. May the documentation of proof be allowed to come forth.
We speak to the GOP in Colorado new life and energy, honesty, and truth to the forefront with strength and conviction in the mighty Name of Jesus! We call forth an army over Colorado. Lord, bring righteous people into all races for leadership. Lord, send a reminder to those who faded from the fight. Those fallen by the wayside. Awake them in the night season. Call back all the people. We bind the spirit of fear in Jesus Name! We speak to the GOP in Colorado-- new life and energy to the forefront with strength and conviction. We call forth Your army over Colorado.
Lord, we bring to you in prayer, Brita Horn, the leader of the GOP in Colorado. Lord, she is a believer and several of us have prayed with her. She is seeking the Lord. Help the GOP in Colorado, Lord, to work through their differences and the strife to become unified. Ephesians 4:3 “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
Jefferson County is looking for good candidates to run for office. We thank You, Lord, for willing hearts to keep attempting to fulfill conservative leadership. Gwen Henderson and Charlie Johnson were mentioned. Thank you to Charlie Johnson who is pushing the Republican voter registration. HD 24 has their August meeting on August 26th from 5:30 to 6:30 at Randy’s Pizza.
We prayed for Connor Pennington who has declared his Republican candidacy for Colorado Attorney General. He has not completed submission of documentation. Lord, clear the way for this man to run if it be Your will. We ask for an honest person who will stand for justice. Bring people in to support a conservative running for this position and others. Awaken the Republicans.
We prayed for the first responders serving Arvada, Jefferson County, and Colorado. Lord, protect their mental wellbeing. Help them, Lord, to balance work and home with Your strength. Give them the spirit that caused them to sign up in the first place. Protect them with the Blood of Jesus. Give the school safety officers a pathway to encourage the kids and provide leadership for them. Open the eyes and ears for all first responders to see and hear danger and to have Your wisdom and discernment for each situation. Thank You, Lord.
Lord, we ask You to bless the organizations in Arvada, Jefferson County and Colorado who advocate for children. Jeffco Kids First, Good News Clubs, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Selah, a ministry on Colfax, Wiz Kids, Protect Kids Colorado, and others. There are three petitions now being circulated to be put on the Colorado ballet by Protect Kids Colorado. Lord, we ask for churches to open the doors for signatures to be signed on these petitions. Lord, bring the army to get the signatures. Lord, make a way for the parents to read the petitions.
Christ over Colorado are12 pastors that stood across the Capitol to fight against HB25-1312. Raise up more, Lord. May they go forth in power and authority. We ask, You, Lord for blessings on their assignments. Multiply them, Lord.
Revival for the Kingdom of God, yes, let it be, Lord! Prayers for businesses and industry in Colorado to expand. Open steel mills in Pueblo. Raise up coal mines. May the people rise up and share Your Gospel. Awaken Gen Z. We ask You would bless the Red Rocks worship team holding a concert revival at Red Rocks on November 4th. Bring in the people, Lord!
Lord, bring forth mentors for the young people. Issue a clarion call and open the gates. Let us be prayer warriors to hold up those who need to go out. Cast down fear. Generations called up. Grandpa, how do we pick up your fight? Show us the pathway, Lord. The battle is Yours, Lord. Deuteronomy 20:4
We ask for Your covering over our families, Lord. We come against the evil plans of the enemy. Thank You for the blood covering over our families. We extend the invitation of Your salvation to our extended families and others. Amen.
