06-18-25 Colorado Prays Arvada Civic Prayer Team

We invite You, Holy Spirit, to join us today. Lord, keep us from distractions and help us to focus on what You would have us pray.
Ephesians 6:13 “Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” We put on the Armor of God today!
Jim and Karen Morgan, Linda Martin, and Donna Reyman attended the Arvada City Council meeting on June 3, 2025, to support Arvada’s suit against the State of Colorado opposing bills passed in the 2024 legislative session: HB24-1313 and HB24-1304. Arvada has joined other home rule cities in Colorado to litigate opposing the requiring of high-density housing and parking near every light rail station. Jim and Linda signed up and spoke supporting the City of Arvada in the lawsuit.
Also at the city council meeting was a proclamation for Jume 2025 as Pride Month. Councilmember Rupert presented the proclamation. There were several people who spoke in favor of the proclamation.
The Arvada Civic Prayer Team participated in prayer walks and intercession for two of Jefferson County’s “Pride in Action” events this past week. First, there is a prayer walk and intercession for Old Town Arvada on Friday, June 20th. Second, a prayer walk and intercession on Saturday, June 21st for Stanley Lake Library. The participation by our team was in preparation for the pride events taking place for the youth in the evening at each of the perspective libraries as well as other events as part of Jefferson County’s June 2025 Pride in Action. Lord, we ask the desire and resources for the same events next year be thwarted in the mighty Name of Jesus! Our God is merciful, and He is love. I Corinthians 16:14 “Let all that you do be done with love.”
Prayers for Children
Ø Lord, we ask for revival among all but especially the youth.
Ø Prayers for the organizations having Bible schools and camps for the kids this summer.
· Colorado is suing Camp IdRaHaje for not having gender expression in bathrooms and sleeping quarters. The Alliance for Defending Freedom represents the camp. We ask, Lord, the Camp will win the lawsuit for themselves and others.
· Lord, give the churches and other organizations provision, the personnel, and the resources for the children’s activities they plan to do.
· Praise the Lord for the organizations in Arvada, Jefferson County, and Colorado working on behalf of the children. Be with them, Lord, answering their needs.
Government
Ø The Colorado legislature passed many bad bills this past session. Lord, we ask for a change in the composition of the Colorado legislature. Lord, bring forth the righteous people You have selected for run for office not only in the legislature but also for other state and local positions.
Ø Over twenty pastors have joined together to fight HB25-1312. They have a website: Fight1312.com.
Ø We prayed for an increase in conservatives in Colorado. Lord. settle the breach in the Colorado GOP. Bring unity of Your purposes, Lord.
Ø Prayers for legal immigration to open up. Lord, give our legislators Your wisdom and discernment to solve the immigration problems in our country and state.
Ø We prayed for salvations for the legislators at all levels.
Ø Prayers for protection and God’s wisdom for President Trump, his cabinet, and the Congress.
Ø Prayers for Israel. Prayers for the Jewish citizens. Prayers for the Jews injured in the Boulder attack. Also, prayers for the Jewish students on campuses in our country.
Ø Prayed for the Supreme Court and justices in our country. Lord, bring justice to the people under the Federal and State Constitutions.
Ø Lord, we ask for election integrity in our state and nation. Cause of America is an organization that focuses on citizen engagement and election integrity.
Celebrations for the 4th of July are coming soon. Father, we ask You would ignite people all over our land to watch for crime and irregularities against people or places. If they see something, may they say something. May Your wisdom prevail in all the preparations. We pray for law enforcement. Lord, protect the innocent from the enemy’s plans. We plead the Blood of Jesus over our state and nation! Amen.
