Civic Prayer Team Leaders

There is lot’s going on across Colorado for God’s Kingdom!   Please be encouraged that no matter how small your Civic Prayer Team is at the moment, God is doing something big through your faithful prayers for your city/county!!!

Read through the notes from today's meeting for your own encouragement. Call Amy if you need help with anything.

Meeting Notes:

1. Awaken64 – taking place on Sept 26 at 10am at your local county building.  Some of our Civic Prayer Team Leaders are hosting the local prayer gathering.   Call Amy if you want to host an Awaken64 event for your county.   https://coprays.org/awaken64   Note: this event will not only accomplish God’s will for each county to be dedicated to God, it will also set the foundation for engaging a Civic Prayer Team in every county!!!!

2. Ignite Colorado in Brighton – over 500 people have been trained to be a Kingdom Laborer who shares their testimony and the love of Jesus every day,  everywhere they go.  Oct 2, 3 and 4^th will be the Ignite Colorado evangelism gatherings.   You are invited to participate in one of two ways.

   1. Prayer Minister at the Altars -    Sign up to minister to new believers after they have accepted Jesus as their Savior.  You will pray with them, collect their contact information and help them get plugged into a local church.      https://www.forgeforward.org/ignite/volunteer/

   2. Prayer “Furnace” Room -  Sign up to intercede for the event taking place in the conference hall.  We will arrive 1-2 hours before the start time to prayer walk the facility and pray over every seat in the conference hall….During the event, we will prophecy and intercede for every participants and every aspect of the gathering.   https://schedule.planhero.com/events/706037d86/ignite-colorado-in-brighton-prayer-room

3. Ignite Colorado and The 400 Gathering.   Buckle Up!!  Pastor Mike Polhemus, who started the 400 Gathering, recently announced that the 400 will be partnering with Forge and Colorado Prays to take the evangelism vision of Ignite Colorado statewide.  The goal for 2027 is to engage 400 churches in training their congregation to become Kingdom Laborers who share their testimony and the love of Jesus every day.  This is a huge vision that needs to be undergirded by prayer in every county statewide.  We will be rapidly expanding the Colorado Prays Civic Prayer Team initiative and the Church Prayer Watch initiative statewide!!!  Pray that Colorado Prays has the resources to make this happen and that Colorado Prays leadership, the 400 Gathering team and the Forge team maintains strong spiritual oneness to take the vision across Colorado.

4. Fund Raising.    Colorado Prays is preparing to expand the leadership team in 2027.  We have been functioning on a budge of less than $30,000 a year. For 2027, we plan to add paid staff to increase our efficiency and assure long term growth for the ministry.  You are invited to participate in two ways.

   1. Pray.  Please pray for creative ways to raise the funds needed for 2027 and beyond.   Pray for someone to join the leadership team to focus on fund raising.

5. CPT Leader Updates

   1. Adams County -  Kyla Stopperan and Kim Andrews.  The Adams Civic Prayer Team continue to persevere in prayer!  They have birthed the Brighton Civic Prayer Team, The Thornton Civic Prayer Team and the Ignite Colorado in Brighton initiative….which is now expanding statewide.  Pray really does change things!!!   Thank you Kyla for your faithfulness in prayer.  And thank you Kim for jumping in to support Kyla as co-leader.

   2. Denver – Jacquie.  Her CPT met last night…have added a few people.  She plans to start contacting churches in October.   She is working with the Ignite Colorado in Brighton team to host a children’s choir during the Oct 3 Saturday morning Ignite Gathering for children and their families.  If your team would like to engage in prayer with the children’s outreach, Jacquie’s CPT will meet at the “Castle” event center on Friday, Oct 2 at 6:30pm to prayer walk the property and intercede for the Children’s Gathering that takes place the next morning.    If you want to participate in this time of prayer, contact Jacquie (303) 548-7634  The Castle Event Center 83 East 120th Avenue, Thornton

   3. Gypsum/Eagle County -  Wendilee.  She is hosting the 3 day Come To The Table event with Awaken The Dawn Sept 24-26.  And, she is hosting Awaken64 at the county building on Sept 26.  Pray for favor that more churches and believers will participate to honor God through these two events…..and that the people who engage also feel led to join the Civic Prayer Team.

6. Statewide Coverage - 

   1. Let’s support each other in prayer - Please have your team pray for, at least, one other Civic Prayer Team.

   2. Pray that in 2027, we raise up at least one Civic Prayer Team in each of the 64 counties statewide.
