05-05-25 COPrays Civic Prayer Team Notes
Meeting today at Home Plate. Usually, we meet by phone conference call. Present today: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal, Donna Reyman, Pat Shriver, and Kathy Zwetzig.
Psalm 62:5 & 6 NKJV “My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.”
Elected Leaders/Government
Ø Prayed for Morgan County representatives Dusty Johnson, State House representative and Byron Pelton, State Senate representative. Prayed for the defeat of HB25-1312, the bill concerning legal protections for transgender individuals. The bill denies parental rights as well as other points.
Ø Prayers for all locally elected leaders in all Morgan County jurisdictions.
Ø A big thank you to those people who helped with the recent Ft. Morgan City Clean Up.
Ø In the Name of Jesus, as citizens of the state of Colorado, we now repent for all the unrighteous and ungodly laws our state legislature has enacted this session. We know Your word is truth and life, and we decree that ungodly laws will not stand, but Your plan for Colorado will prevail.
Police/Law Enforcement
Ø Bless each Colorado First Responder for their willingness to serve God and His Kingdom by serving the people of Colorado in their chosen, high stress career.
Ø Law enforcement is working with Homeland Security and ICE under the laws of our nation.
Ø Lord, we pray for Your protection over the law enforcement in Morgan County. Give the men and women of law enforcement Your wisdom and discernment to make good decisions.
Education
Ø We welcome and ask for a mighty revival and spiritual awakening in every school in Morgan County and throughout Colorado.
Ø We thank You, Lord, for the many nonprofits in Morgan County who are teaching English as a second language (ESL). Rising Up and the Family Center are two of them.
Ø Prayers for continued success of Harvest University, a missionary college in Ft. Morgan.
Ø Lord, we lift up Morgan Community College and ask You to assist them to work through the disruptions. Lord, bring Your wisdom to the leadership of the college.
Ø We prayed for all the graduates in Morgan County schools. Lord, show each one Your path. We send Psalms 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
We prayed for all of those in Morgan County and for us. The enemy seeks to keep us feeling out of purpose. Cloudy vision delays obedience. Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
There are suicides in Morgan County. Many are not publicized. Oh Lord! We pray for those who do not know You! Holy Spirit, bring them to the Lord Jesus! He paid the price by His work on the CROSS. Lord, bring more people seeking Your Peace to the churches who share Your Word and Your Love. Amen.
