On today's prayer call: DJ Barrett
Psalm 116:12-14 How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD. I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
Lord, you are good and your mercy endures forever!
I thank you, Lord, for your great blessings to us: sun, rain, the change of the leaves and season.
Grant our farmers and ranchers the harvest they need to cover expenses and bring blessings to their families and workers. May the grain be gathered in a timely manner with favorable weather to do so. May the herds provide both financial success and animals for the future. When ingathering is done, may the farms and ranches experience a season of rest.
Be with our schools, children and staff, and protect their minds and bodies from outward threats. May our teachers and paras know you as Lord and Savior, and call on your wisdom and strength in their daily dealings with students and administrators. Let our children welcome you into their hearts so they may know the depth of your love. Be with the student athletes, keeping them safe and focused in their games. May your peace and protection surround every school (and home school) in Morgan County.
Our elected officials we lift up to you. Guide their hearts and minds as they serve the communities where they live. Do not allow a spirit of selfishness or greed to dwell within them. Let them adhere to Psalm 116:14, and fulfill their vows...in the presence of all...people.
Surround your churches with love and unity. Let all who call on your Name strengthen each other in service to you. October is Pastor Appreciation month. May those who shepherd your flock know how much they are appreciated, encouraging them to continue the good work to which you have called them. Be with the organizations who serve the community in Your name, providing the funds they need so they may continue to help those who need assistance. Rising Up in particular is gearing up for their winter shelter; we ask for a community outpouring of support for this endeavor.
Let your Spirit be with the first responders throughout Morgan County: the police and sheriff officers, firefighters, EMTs, and Flight for Life crews. Let your Spirit be with the health workers in the hospitals and clinics. Grant your wisdom, insight, and knowledge to them in both emergency and routine tasks. May the patients feel your love, healing, and peace as they seek medical assistance.
Lord, in all things we give you honor and praise. You are the way, the truth, and the life. In your mighty name we pray. Amen.
