April 3 Morgan County Prayer Call
D.J. Barrett
Psalm 57:5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
It's Holy Week, and I ask the Lord to be so very present in our lives. Thank you for loving me so much that you took my sin and punishment upon yourself. You are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise! Let us never forget what you have done for us, and let us be bold to share that with others.
Centura St Elizabeth hospital in Fort Morgan is strengthening their ministry focus by encouraging the staff to seek God's power of healing in their daily duties. Lord, we in turn lift that focus to you and pray Your hand would been seen and acknowledged by all the staff: doctors, nurses, orderlies, custodians, reception, volunteers, and whoever spends time there. Be with all the chaplains who bring peace and comfort to the patients and their families. Thank you for the opportunity this brings.
Spring is here, and we see the crocuses, tulips, and daffodils poking their heads up out of the ground. They remind us of how You burst forth from the grave on Resurrection Sunday! We ask you to keep your hand on the farmers as they ready their fields for planting, and the ranchers as they welcome the calves, lambs, and piglets to the world. We ask the young livestock be protected from predators and weather snaps. We love to see the new life of both animals and plants, and give you glory.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth!
The Islamic month of Ramadan is upon us, and we pray for our Muslim neighbors during this time. They are seeking, and we pray they find Jesus, the true way and life. Come to them in dreams and visions. Let us who know You be sensitive to this, and greet them in the marketplace with love and kindness. Let them know we are Christians by our love.
The HGTV "Home Town Takeover" program featuring Fort Morgan will finally hit the air on Sunday, April 23 at 6pm. We've been told to expect an influx of tourism with this, and we pray visitors will feel your presence when they visit the various venues. Especially the art project on the grounds of the Sanctuary. HGTV even suggested the church might put a box for prayer requests by the decorated grain bin. A large number of Christians are part of the HGTV staff, and we pray for them in their careers and lives. Thank you Lord, for the dedication of these young professionals who love and serve you! Let them see Your hand in all they do.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth!
The prayer chains are filled with those needing surgeries and experiencing illnesses. We lift those and their families to you, and ask your healing hand touch their lives. We ask peace and courage, and look forward to the report of how you were present in their time of need. So many need you physically, mentally, spiritually. Let us be encouraging and help lift their burden. With God, all things are possible.
We know the enemy prowls about, seeking those he might devour. We bind him with the mighty name of Jesus! He cannot have the minds or bodies of those we love! Jesus, we ask you to cover our precious families and friends with your blood, that you would shield them from the fiery darts, that you would uphold them in your mighty arms. To You be all glory!
We pray for those who will be going to church on Easter, because it's Easter and that's what they do. We pray You get a deep hold of their hearts in a way they haven't felt in a long while. Make them uncomfortable! Wake them up! Create a desire inside them to want more of You! Compel them to want to come back to You. Bring home the prodigals. Let this be a resurrection for them! Rise from the ashes of the past to the dawn of a new day. Let there be revival in Morgan County!
Harvest Assembly in Brush is holding a Women's Retreat in April. We pray for good attendance, and that Your Spirit will be centermost. Let there be such an outpouring that all who attend will be emboldened to carry Your word to all they meet.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth!
