We worship and praise the Lord! May our prayers bring glory to You, Lord. Holy Spirit, we welcome you into our call today.
Psalm 18:2&3 NKJV “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so, shall I be saved from my enemies.”
Election
We pray for secure elections. Lord, expose any deceit and expose evil intent with Your light We pray for protection for the election workers and each ballet location. We lift Pat Shriver before You, Lord. She is in this prayer group working on the elections today.
We ask the people voting in Morgan County, Colorado, and the nation will read and study the issues carefully. Lord may their eyes (and ours) be open to Your will on how to vote.
Prayers for Faye Barnhart and the Colorado Life Initiative. Faye and her committee are working on a ballot initiative for next year. We ask them to be guided by the Lord. May those involved be in unity. Lord, bring clear and precise words to put forth. Lord, protect Faye and all involved with this project.
For those who have not voted, Lord, bring conviction to draw them to participate and vote. We ask only citizens of our country will be allowed to vote. Reveal truth, Lord! Call many to vote for righteousness and no longer just along party lines.
Immigration
Lord, we ask for Your plan for the immigration system in the US. We ask You to bring justice for the people of Colorado. Show the legislators and governmental leaders how to write good laws and how to enforce them.
First Responders
We lift every First Responder in Morgan County, Colorado, and our nation to You, Lord, for protection and safety on and off the job. Help them know You are their God, in whom they can trust for guidance and deliverance from evil.
Government
Lord, we ask You to be with Dusty Johnson, our representative for HD63. We ask You would keep her in good health and keep her safe as she travels throughout the district meeting with constituents. Also, we pray You will keep Senator Byron Pelton (District 1) in good health. Lord, give all the representatives who will be meeting at the Colorado Capitol Your wisdom in formulating legislation for the upcoming session.
The shutdown
The shutdown of our government is causing great anxiety and problems in our county. Our legislators will not bend. We ask those in our government in Washington DC will feel Your presence. Father, lift up those looking directly into the eyes of the enemy giving them the strength and courage to go on. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and protection for President Trump, his family, and his cabinet. We ask, Lord, for protection of the Supreme Court. Also, watch over the governmental offices and divisions as this shutdown continues. Father, protect the air traffic system as this shutdown continues to strain resources.
Encourage those in government fighting Your fight. Holy Spirit, show them You are standing with them. You are leading Your people. May they look to You. Thank You, Lord!
Schools
We are thankful for the work of the World Olivet Assembly located in Ft. Morgan. Pastor Edward Shih leads the organization that has full accreditation for a Master of Divinity. The organization, a missionary college, continues to do excellent work in Morgan County, Colorado, and all over the world. Father, thank You for drawing young disciples in a humble, quiet, steady mission.
Father, we come against the enemy in our schools, and we bind them in the Name of Jesus! We stand on Your Word in Mathew 16:19 as You have given Your believers the authority to bind and loose. We stand on Your Word. We bind up the spirit of perversion in the school system in Morgan County and Colorado and we loose the Word of God to be the standard! We ask evil in our schools would be exposed. Shine Your light on evil, Lord.
We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every teacher, administrator, and school board member in Morgan County and across Colorado; let godly wisdom and discernment guide every decision made in our education system!
We ask, Lord, that You now raise up believing educators in Morgan County and across Colorado who will be salt and light in their schools, speaking truth with boldness and demonstrating Your love to every student. We welcome and ask for a mighty revival and spiritual awakening in every Colorado school.
Churches
We are thankful for all the churches in Morgan County teaching Your Word. Lord, build them up and increase their mission to share the Gospel. Bring in provision for the work they are doing.
We pray for Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem. Bring an end to the war with Israel in Gaza. Bring the remaining eight bodies home to Israel. Lord, reveal to the Body of Christ our true relationship to Israel based on Your truth.
Our Country
We praise You, Lord, for our country and its history. Our Christian ancestors came to this country and then went out to bless the entire world. We thank You for President’s Trump’s decision to help the Christians in Nigeria who are being slaughtered. A testimony this afternoon (I, Donna, heard it on Fox News) from a leader of an NGO organization, Ireach Global, stationed in Nigeria, said he had already heard from his man on the ground in Nigeria that President Trump’s words were already beginning to take effect.
Lord, bring revival to our nation! We are thankful You have chosen our lives to be here in the United States. We claim Colorado and our nation for You! We claim other nations for you, too! To God be the Glory! Amen.
