08-04-25 Morgan County COPrays Prayer Call
On the call today: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal, Donna Reyman, Pat Shriver, and Kathy Zwetzig
All praise, honor, and glory to You today, Lord. Holy Spirit, thank you for being with us today!
The annual BBQ with the Blue sponsored by the Ft. Morgan Police Department will take place on August 6th from 4-8 pm in Glenn Miller Park. Lyn will be serving. The Sanctuary will have an outreach booth (water is involved? --that would be a relief from the heat!)
DJ gave a testimony of The Sanctuary’s recent trip to the Rosebud Indian Reservation. It is one of the poorest in our nation. Thirteen people went on the trip and supported missionaries Johnny and Heidi Wade. They had a mobile truck and conducted youth/adult bible studies and outreach into the neighborhoods. Thank You, Lord, for their willingness to go.
It is our privilege to pray as You are our Father. Thank you for the Bible teaching churches. May the people hear Your Word and accept Jesus and God’s plan of salvation. Help the missionaries in the hard places. Lord, provide the resources and desire from Your people to proclaim the gospel so more missionaries will be sent out. Show us where to go and what to say, Lord. Send us. May we have ears to hear what to say. You promised to go before us. You are before us and behind us. Let us hear Your voice.
Lord, help us to be Your missionaries wherever we go. We pray for those who do not know You but say they do. May we ask the question, “If you were to die tomorrow, do you know for certain you would go to heaven?” We pray churches big and small will teach Your Word of truth so people will have the blessed assurance from God they are saved. May the churches be sensitive to the Holy Spirit as He helps to open eyes and ears. Soften hearts, Lord. Help us, Lord, to express Your love, gently bringing people into the intimate knowledge and experience of Your love.
Lyn asked Sonny Weimer, who makes many trips to Africa, how to approach a Muslim woman she has met. He gave her a book, “How to Relate to Muslims.”
We pray for the schools starting next week in Morgan County. Strengthen the Christian kids. May You, Lord, be their filter through Your heart, Lord. May they be the ones making a difference in the classroom. Let them reach out in Your love, Lord. May they ask kids to come to church. Invite their friends. Help the Christian bible believing teachers as they wade carefully through the studies curriculum. We come against that spirit of satan trying to influence the children. Lord, put a hedge of protection around Your children and the teachers. More administrators and teachers to see Your goodness and Your majesty. No! Satan, you cannot have our children!
We ask You will expose evil in our state. We ask people not to be blinded by media. Bring down the ones on satan’s side. Lord, we ask those against You to be bound up. We ask for Your discernment and wisdom, Lord. Help solve the immigration issue. Colorado will be red and not blue. Colorado will not be for abortion but for life. We ask for righteous leaders in our government. Clean up Colorado, Lord!
We prayed for Israel, our leaders and their leaders. We ask You would block the lies of the media. We bind up the enemy’s lies in the Mighty Name of Jesus! Lord, we ask for a breakthrough in Israel! May the hostages be released and the Palestinians receive the food they need.
We pray for each of the cities and towns in Morgan County. Bless each one, Lord.
We declare that the Lord is our strength. · We decree as it is written in Psalm 144: 1-2 Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. 2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples[a] under me. · We thank You Lord that You are our deliverer and our strength in all things. · We call forth every member of the Colorado Ecclesia into their identity in Christ that they can now stand in His strength. Amen.
