2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
We praise You, Lord, for the honor to pray with You. We ask You will bless our prayers. We ask You will bless the people of Morgan Country and Colorado.
We are reminded of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Father, we ask for common sense to come back into our county, state, and nation. We pray people will read Your WORD to gain Your wisdom and understanding of how they should live.
Children
The Fall session for schools will begin soon. Lord, we ask Your wisdom and understanding for dedicated teachers and administrators. Give those who know You boldness to be leaders in our schools. We ask for favor for common sense teaching of the basic studies required for students to have an opportunity to thrive in our society.
Lord, we ask for more of You and Your ways to come into schools. A story was told of a student communicating about Jesus to his principal. With the influence of God in this school, the fighting stopped. Grades went up. The principal saw the changes in the students’ actions and was impressed. He was invited to attend church and accepted Jesus himself. Lord, we know all things are possible with You!
Lord, bring favor to the organizations professing Christ in the universities and colleges such as Campus Crusade for Christ. Bless Turning Point as they are starting new chapters all over the country.
Weather.
Lord, bring rain to Colorado and the Western United States. There are many fires. We need rain for our water supplies, crops and land. The temperatures have been exceptionally hot this year. We ask for your protection for the crops and the animals, Lord.
We ask that the crops damaged by hail earlier in the year by hail will recover and yield 30-60-100-fold. Our God is good. God gives the increase.
Government
Lord, we ask You would bring Your wisdom and discernment to all the government leaders in Morgan County and each of the cities and towns in Morgan County. Bring Your wisdom and discernment to all elected officials representing Northeastern Colorado. Infuse their minds and spirits with Your Spirit. For those who will not listen, may they repent and turn to Your direction.
First Responders
Lord, speak to the first responders’ hearts. Show them who You are and be with them in the emergency situations they find themselves in. Bring them Your peace during the emergency so they may remain calm and in control. May they feel Your strength. We thank You, Lord, for all of them as they have chosen to protect and help us, the public.
Other
It is understood there is a Cargill tentative agreement that needs to be voted on. Lord, we ask for a solid agreement to work for both parties. Ft. Morgan needs the people working again. People want to get back to work again to feed their families.
Lord, bless Faye Barnhart and her organization. Give them Your favor, Lord
We prayed for those who could not be on the call today. Send out Your healing power mighty to save, Lord. Bless each one as You know their needs.
Unity
Lord, we ask for unity in the Body of Christ as we serve You. May we follow the narrow way seeking after You. Empower us with Your Spirit to accomplish the assignments You have given us. Show us what Your plan is for our community and the state. We are willing to be Your hands and feet, Jesus. Amen.
