09-02-25 COPrays Morgan County Prayer Call Notes
On the call today: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal, Donna Reyman and Kathy Zwetzig
Reading Acts 3: 19,20, & 21 AMP “So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God---seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]; and that He may send [to you] Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you, whom heaven must keep until and time for the [complete] restoration of all things about which God promised through the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.”
Father, we thank You for the words and thoughts You give us to pray. We thank You for each one willing to pray bringing Your richness in Christ with them. I Corinthians 12:12-14
Education
Schools are back in session. No lies for the children. May the administrators look to You to design a plan for male and female students. God’s perfect plan and destiny for each one.
Lord, our children and schools are under attack by the enemy. We pray for the hurting hearts from the most recent school shooting in Minnesota. Lord, we pray for safety protocols to be set up in all the schools. Father, send Your angels to guard the schools and the children. Alert those able to move and foil any attack. Cover the people and the buildings ahead of time with the Blood of Jesus. Praise Your Name!
On Friday, Lyn spoke at the first graduation of eight online students at the World Olivet Assembly located at the New Mission Center, 300 Deuel Street in Ft. Morgan. There were other dignitaries from Ft. Morgan present. Pastor Edward Shih leads the organization that has full accreditation for a Master of Divinity. The organization, a missionary college, purchased the old historical high school building in 2020. They also bought the Lutheran Church on Sherman Street. They conduct a weekly Bible study with young disciples. The location of this organization in Ft, Morgan, Colorado was chosen because it is centrally located in the United States and is near DIA, an international airport. The gospel truth going out from Ft. Morgan all over the world. Thank You, Lord!
Churches
Prayers for the churches in Morgan County and Colorado. Lord, bring a refreshing --drawing them into Your presence. Show the pastors and leadership where You would direct them, Lord. May they have spiritual eyes and ears to know Your direction for them.
Churches are growing in Ft. Morgan. We thank You that Sharon, the minister at the Methodist Church, has allowed Pastor David from Haiti, to have his service in their chapel so more may hear the Gospel. The Family Center helped him get his papers so he could work at Cargill again.
A car show is coming to Ft. Morgan on the third weekend in September. The Sanctuary will have a booth offering free water. Free prayers and free-Living Water are available for the willing.
Family
Lord, guide immigrants in Morgan County to places such as The Family Center to get their paperwork in order. Guide them to people and places to learn English. Bring them to a place of love for America so they can be part of it and not always on the outside looking in. Reach into their hearts, Lord. We pray they seek more of You.
Lord, we pray for the families who have lost loved ones. We send Your words to go throughout the families. May Your Words of grace, peace, and kindness go out to the families. Draw them to You. Carla Powell was in a terrible accident at mile marker 136 on Highway 34. She passed in Your mercy. You took her because You love her. May God be glorified. Be with the families as they go through grief. Our God of resurrection is also the God of mercy and kindness.
Life
A meeting will take place tomorrow, September 3rd, regarding a ballot initiative to choose life. Faye Barnhart of the Colorado Life Initiative will be speaking. Adoption is a choice. Lord, we ask You will be involved in this meeting. May Christian voices be heard. “The Colorado Life Initiative is a grassroots movement in the body of Christ mobilizing communities to pray, educate, and proactively change law to protect all living children from child sacrifice in Colorado. Find out more at gotaheart.org .” Excerpt is from the Rocky Mountain Voice.
Government
We bring before You, Lord, the upcoming Fall elections. We ask for righteous men and women to run for office and win. We pray for God’s will for the upcoming elections. We ask for righteous people in the governmental realm.
Colorado workers are trying to get enough to pay bills. Our government in Colorado is unhealthy. Remove those leaders making decisions to ruin Colorado. May those on the left or the right see the injustice. We cry out! We give this state to You, Lord! This is Your state--blue to red. Christians rise up! Expose and reveal fraud, underhanded or unjust actions. We ask there would no longer be the leverage of the past. You are the good judge. We ask for justice.
We thank You, Lord, for Representative Dusty Johnson of House District 63 and Senator Byron Pelton of District 1 for their work for Morgan County and the other areas they represent. They came prepared for the special session Governor Polis called but were overruled by Democratic majorities.
First Responders
We thank You, Lord, for our first responders. We thank You, Lord, for the Christians on the police force in Ft. Morgan. We declare that the mental and physical strength of every First Responder now comes from the Lord (Isaiah 40:31); protect their mind and bodies Lord Jesus.
Farmers
We thank You, Lord, for the plentiful harvest in Morgan County, Colorado, and our nation. We ask You for a turnaround where there are problems with our farmers and the farmland. May they be able to recoup for damages. Watch over the weather for them, Lord. Keep them safe. Help them navigate the legal aspects of their lives and prepare for a bountiful harvest next season. Bless the farmers that might know this blessing is from You so they will praise Your Mighty Name!
Special prayers for Kathy’s shoulder. Bring forth Your healing, Lord. May Kathy share her testimony with someone going through the same trial.
Prayers for Pat Shriver who could not join us today.
Revival
Yes! Lord, we come before You again asking for a mighty revival! May Your truth be revealed. Open the eyes that the people might see how You have blessed this nation. As the battle with the enemy intensifies, we ask for the Blood of Jesus to cover Your people. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
