D.J. and Donna on the call.

Happy New Year!

“Humility is the most excellent grace of the spirit, evidences the subject of it to be a child of God, and is accompanied with contentment, peace and submission to the will of God.”

Cruden’s Unabridged Concordance by Alexander Cruden; First edition published in 1737, London, England.

Psalm 25:9 NKJV “The humble He guides to justice, And the humble He teaches His way.”

Micah 6:8 NKJV “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”

James 4:10 NKJV “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

This year is a new beginning. Lord, You are new every morning. Thank you for the opportunities-every day afresh with You. Take us by the hand; take hold of our shoulders and point us in the right direction. Lord, continue to guide us and inspire us to be more like You, as we anticipate Your coming.

We ask for no spirit of timidity Lord, put Your Words in my mouth! Give us opportunities to share with friends and family, that they will embrace You in their hearts. Bring them In line with Your heart, Lord. We give this to You, Lord--to inspire and light the fire inside their hearts. We thank You for every opportunity we get in Jesus Name!

The roads as treacherous today because of winter storms. Lord, send Your angels to assist travelers today and keep people safe. Put Your buffers around them. Let them feel Your presence. We ask for Your protection for Pat and Michael as they travel to Denver. Lord, protect the first responders on this brutal weather day. Bring them Your peace, Your strength, and Your protection to get through. Surround them with Your love.

We ask for Your wisdom for Pat and Michael doctors as they are traveling to a doctor’s appointment today. Lord, we ask for good health for both Pat the Michael in Jesus Name!

An NFL player was badly injured on the field during a game last night. All saw this event on TV who were watching. The players gathered around him on their knees to pray. Oh, Lord, many were praying to You because they do know You are the only answer. Our hearts are with him and his family. Use this as a wonderful experience to show Your grace and mercy. Show many a new understanding of who You are, Lord. His mother was with him. Lord Jesus, comfort that mother’s heart. Lord, touch many with a new understanding of who You are. Let them figure out who is their Savior. We ask You to be in the doctor’s hands. Give the medical personnel the wisdom and knowledge to know what to do. All glory to You, Father! We ask many to come to You during this time, Lord Jesus!

Suncor Energy’s refinery in Colorado has been closed for repairs due to a fire. Lord, we ask for wisdom for the Emergency Management team Governor Polis has appointed to handle the energy needs in Colorado during the time they are shut down. Lord, we ask You remind them of the energy needs of Morgan County and Northeaster Colorado. Thank You, Lord.

Lord, You are our source. We know that. You will provide for Your people. Help us to learn and understand. There will always be challenges. During those times You show us Your greatness and Your mercy as we learn to trust You.

We lift our prayers for the students, teachers, support staff, and administrators heading back to school after the holiday break. Lord, call them to study and work for excellence in their respective rolls. Lord, bring the young people to learn as some will be part of Your young army in the days to come.

The new Colorado legislative session is beginning for the next session. Lord, remind our Senator, Jerry Sonnenberg and our representative, Rod Pelton, to seek Your wisdom for the people of Morgan County.

This is a new year, and we ask for Your blessings on the mayors, councilmen and councilwomen and all people in leadership roles in Morgan County. Lord, show them who You are as they do their jobs for the people.

We pray for the churches in Morgan County. Many come to church only during certain holidays. Many have received their Christmas fix. Let them say, “this looks good”. Stir them up! Let them say, “I want to go to church” We call for revival! Let regular church goers get up out of their chairs and move to another seat as new believers come in the church. Holy Spirit, give them a compulsion to go to church--to gather with other believers. Oh, that they may lift their voices to You, Lord! Start there. Stir them to get out of their easy chairs and into the pews. We cry for a Body of Bible believing Christians! We call for people open and seeking the love of Jesus Christ!

Lord, bless the churches that honor Your WORD. Bring a deep understanding of Your Word to touch the hearts of the people---we ask in the mighty Name of Jesus!!! Let them realize You are the source of all, and Your WORD is truth.

Bring a new wave of HOPE to Colorado and Morgan County, we ask You, Lord!!! Cleansing of hearts. We ask, Holy Spirit, You will bring healing and new hope. A new desire to accept and follow Jesus Christ. We ask the prodigals will return. Lord, we ask for Your workers to come and plough the ground. Break up the fallow ground, so it is ready for seed. Let us not be selfish but let us be the Sower that goes out to sow. Some on hard ground. Some on prepared ground. Asking the pesky birds do not come and take it away, Lord. Let it take root for those who need to hear. Those chosen ahead of time. The ones who grew up going to church. Train up a child; then, let them remember. We ask for dreams and visions. Yes, let the prodigals return to the fold, Lord Jesus! Let them desire to come back and learn more about Your Word. Open their ears so they may hear Your voice.

You are the good Shepherd.

Lord, we ask You bless the “Caring Pregnancy Center” in Brush. Give them compassionate hearts. Let them not grow weary in doing good. Thank You that through the ultrasound unit the young mothers will keep their babies. Send resources and the help that they need to have healthy pregnancies and healthy. Babies. Clear the roads to allow them to continue their work

Also, bless “Rising Up”, a warming center with a small number of beds. We pray you will be with Pam and others at “Rising Up”. Be encouraged. The pantry is available for people to Fill their bellies. Bring in more resources to allow them to bless more people, Lord.

Some homeless have jobs. Housing is so expensive. Send help, Lord, for an opportunity for more affordable housing in Morgan County. Give opportunities for people to find a place to rent. Four walls to provide for them and their families. We ask for creative strategies for those in a position to provide more affordable housing in Morgan County.

We ask You will bless the land in Morgan County and give rest to the ground during this winter season. We declare the rested land in Morgan County will produce a good bounty next spring and summer.

D.J, is a fitness class teacher. She teaches that their feet be grounded into the earth. Standing firm. We will not slip and fall. Make slow and gentle movements. This correlates with being well grounded in the Word. Think about how you are doing. Be cognizant of what you are doing. Let our bodies be firm as our spirits and souls are firm in You, Lord. D.J. is faithful to give a Bible verse each class. Thank You for the work she is doing for the Kingdom, Lord.
