All honor and praise to You today, Lord. We thank You for sending Your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to save the world.
Hebrews 6:19 & 20 Amp. “This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the ears upon it] soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it] –a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of this heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells], where Jesus has entered [in advance] as a forerunner for us, having become a High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”
Government
We pray all the elected office holders and legislators in Morgan County and Colorado will use this Christmas to rest and spend time with their families. The new year will be active-especially for our Colorado legislators. We ask our elected officials will follow Your lead. We bind up the spirit of stubbornness. May Your will be done. We thank You and ask for Your favor, Lord, for Dusty Johnson, HD63 representative, and Byron Pelton, Senate District 1, both representing Morgan County and Northeastern Colorado.
Marketplace
We call forth every Colorado business leader and worker to cry out to the Lord as it is written in Jeremiah 33:3: "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." We pray that the Holy Spirit now reveals divine strategies and breakthroughs to Morgan County and Colorado businesses. [this taken from COPrays.org “Resources.”]
Lord, we pray for the farmers and ranchers in Morgan County and Colorado. Give them strategies on the type of crops to plant and the best management of their businesses. Protect their animals in harsh weather. Lord, remind President Trump and his cabinet to watch out for our farmers and ranchers as markets and policies are determined. Thank You, Lord.
Education
We ask Lord God, that Your refreshing power now infuses exhausted educators as the semester ends across Colorado: to renew their calling, restore their passion, and fill them with divine strength to finish strong and return in 2026 with fresh vision. [this taken from COPrays.org “Resources.”]
Thank you to DJ, who is a seamstress, helping Wiggins High School with costumes for the upcoming play. Thank You, Lord, as she prays for the kids as she sews and fits their costumes. She is an example for all of us.
Lord, You love the kids more than we do. Speak to the school administrators, teachers, school boards, and leaders to show them the best pathway for our kids. Protect the kids’ little hearts and minds. Show them how to find You!
First Responders
Lord, we pray that every Colorado First Responder and their family members draw closer to Jesus this Christmas season as they celebrate the birth of Christ not only as the Christ Child but as their Lord and Savior. [this taken from COPrays.org “Resources.”]
DJ has heard many hospital helicopters recently as she and her husband, Walter, live close to the hospital in Ft. Morgan. She prayed for all first responders asking the Lord to give them His strength and wisdom to know what to do. She prayed for the Lord’s healing for those who are hurt. She prayed the Lord’s messengers, God’s angels, to be present.
Families
We prayed for the success of the Protect Kids Colorado signatures project to get three initiatives on the 2026 ballot to become law January 1, 2027.
Prayers to the Lord for Faye Barnhart and the Northeast Colorado committee for Life. Prayers for the Lord’s direction and help. Thank You, Lord!
For Life --We declare that Your joy and peace now flood their hearts bringing complete restoration. We declare that the battle is the Lord's and the victory is ours in ending abortion in Colorado. Let Your justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream across our state (Amos 5:24). [this taken from COPrays.org “Resources.”]
Lord, we ask You would bring back the prodigals. Even though they have been away, You have been present in their lives. You can bring them into Your warmth. Bring Your encouragement to them and their families to be together, Lord Jesus.
Where offenses are present in families, Lord, we ask You would break the tension. Bring Your forgiveness into families during this Christmas season. We pray for Your reconciliation in this season and always, Lord.
Revival
We pray the kids who know You, Lord, will be missionaries. May they march to the time of Jesus--invite their friends from school to come to church. Let our kids bring Your love to their friends. Then, the parents of those kids will come, too. Let it be, Lord.
We thank You, Lord, for Operation Christian Child. Christmas boxes where eight people touch each box. These represent love for others. God is not far away but His love is close in the giving of the boxes.
We thank You, Lord, there are pockets of revivals all over the country. May Your worship go forth! Embolden all of us to talk about Jesus! May the altar calls come forth! You are worthy of all, Lord! Amen.
