07-06-26 COPrays Morgan County Prayer Call

On the call today: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal, Donna Reyman, Pat Shriver, and Kathy Zwetzig

We welcome You, Holy Spirit. Show us how You would have us pray.

Titus 3: 4-6 ESV “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.”

Lord, we thank You for the rededication of America to You on March 17 of this year. Also, for the 250th year celebrating our country. Father, You are our life, our God, and our creator. We are messy without You. Thank You for the covenant we have with You that occurred when our forefathers first came to this land. They landed but did not get off the ship for 3 days as they fasted and prayed. When on the land, they planted a cross. Praise Your Mighty Name for the beginnings of our country!

The Black Robe Regiment was not a literal military unit, but a British term used to describe the influential clergy who supported the American cause during the Revolutionary War. The men of the Black Robe Regiment gave fiery speeches in their robes and then took the robes off to reveal a man in military uniform. Kathy told this story as we began to pray for the churches. We pray the churches will encourage people to get out and vote. Many of us have been silent, and now we have socialism/communism raising its ugly head in this country and Colorado.

Prayers that the Cargill beef plant will reopen. Lord, sustain the workers while they wait. Be with the management staff of Cargill and show them how to prepare for Cargill to re-open with a cooperative spirit. We ask for You, Lord Jesus, to be in charge. We ask for Your peace, insight, and wisdom to be in this situation.

Prayer for the schools. We ask the children to be educated about where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going in our nation. We ask for righteous people to be elected and serve on school boards. We ask for righteous people to serve in education administrations, and to teach our children. Lord, continue to remove woke ideologies and grooming of children in schools. Shine Your light on evil to reveal the truth. Bring parents into realization as to how to raise their children in the fear and admiration of the Lord. Proverbs 1:7.

Morgan County suffered a tremendous hailstorm a few weeks ago. Lord, have mercy on the people affected by this storm. We ask for people with property damage to roofs, cars, and other structures to be able to afford repairs. We pray for Your favor from insurance companies. For the farmers and ranchers with crop damage or animal loss, we pray You will help them recover quickly. If part of a field was damaged, we ask the untouched portion of the field to produce double or triple the yield. Not impossible with God!!!

We ask, Lord, for sufficient firefighters to be available to prepare the fire lines and help put out the fires burning throughout our state and nation. May the people in danger listen and be prepared to evacuate in time with the essentials, pets, and animals. May the firefighters be available to surround and protect the people’s homes in danger. Lord, redeem what the people have lost. Father, open Your floodgates and bring rain into the parched areas. We are grateful we can trust all is under Your control.

Dusty Johnson, Morgan County’s (HD63) representative, is running to keep her seat at the Colorado Capitol for 2 more years. Lord, be with Dusty as she conducts her campaign. Lead her to victory in November.  She has served and represented Morgan County and Northeastern Colorado very well.

Lord, we ask Colorado to return to the values that built this state. Thank You for the privilege of prayer.

Lamentations 3:22-24 ESV The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion says my soul, therefore I will hope in him.” Amen.
