On the call today: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal and Donna Reyman

Praise to the Lord!!! Psalm 63:1-5 NKJV “Oh God, You are my God; early I will seek You; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for you in the sanctuary, to see Your power and glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

·        Lord, we thank You the fires in Colorado have all had percentage reductions. We thank You, Lord, for additional personnel to help put out the fires. Protect the men and women fighting the fires. Protect the animals in the line of the fires. Give those involved Your special insight and discernment on how to fight the fires so they may be alert and see things that need addressed quickly. We ask for fires in other states in the nation to be extinguished quickly. Lord, send more resources to contain the fires. We ask You to send rain to extinguish the fires!!!

·        We pray for the churches in Morgan County and Colorado. Lord, we ask Your fire to fall on the churches! Hebrews 10:24 & 25 Amp. “…and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.”

·        Lord, we ask that any spark for Jesus received by the children in vacation bible schools and other activities this summer be ignited in the love and joy of the Lord! May the parents and families be filled with the joy of the Lord in Jesus’ Name!

·        We ask You, Lord, to bring those candidates to victory who look to You for wisdom and are willing to do the work for the people in this upcoming election.

·        The 3rd Annual BBQ with the Blue Event is slated for this coming Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Glenn Miller Park from 4-8 pm. Lord, thank You for willing businesses to fund this event to celebrate first responders and law enforcement to interact with kids, families, and others. Praise You, Lord, for the volunteers willing to give their time to this event. Ft. Morgan Police Chief, Loren Sharp, plays a central part in the support of this event. This event provides a platform for interaction, understanding, and unity among the community.

·        Lord, we ask You to give the teachers stamina and moral courage for this upcoming school year. Be with the school board and administrators to give them Your wisdom to make the right decisions. Give the parents Your wisdom and discernment with their parenting decisions. Reveal any hidden issues that may harm the kids. Thank You, Lord.

·        We ask You, Jesus, to protect believers who are serving You in any form of media or communications in Morgan County and across Eastern Colorado. May their souls be strengthened daily to be Your salt and light to those around them. We pray for the Good News of the gospel to be made known during their workday as they keep up the good work until the day of Jesus Christ comes. Philippians 1:2-6 3.
