Why we must pray for our elected officials:
By now, you all have seen the sad reality that our Senate has passed the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act, AND voted DOWN all 3 of the amendments which would provide clearer protections for those of faith who disagreed with marriage in any form other than between one man and one woman.
Below is an article about Senator Lummis of Wyoming, a Republican and woman of faith, who VOTED Yes on the Marriage Act and against the amendments. Even though she personally believes in the biblical definition of marriage, she succumbed to the pressure to show she is "tolerant:.
Please pray that our elected officials at ALL levels will be convicted by the Holy Spirit to STAND STRONG, even in the face of opposition, to uphold the Word of God!
