Morgan County Prayer January 2, 2024

On the call: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal, Donna Reyman, and Kathy Zwetzig

Praise: Our God is faithful. We know we can trust You, Lord! Reading of Your Word: Psalm 92:10-15

Psalm 92:10 AMP. “But my horn of strength (my emblem of strength and power) You have exalted like that of a wild ox.; I am anointed with fresh oil (for Your service).” Lord, we ask for fresh oil for us and Morgan County as we begin the new year of 2024.

Lord, we ask You to cleanse our hearts as we begin a new year and the prayers for Morgan County. Remind us of any corrections we need to make in order to align with Your Word. We declared each of the COPrays.org “Core Prayer Points”. Number one prayer point:

1. We declare, in faith, that every person in Colorado now comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Lord, we lift up the homeless in Morgan County. We thank You for the police department who is on the front lines. We thank you for Pam at Rising Up. Her organization provides food, clothing, and other needs for the homeless. Lord, give Pam and her staff, physical strength, and Your wisdom as they bring forth the love of Jesus to others.

There are more migrants coming into Morgan County. Lord, give those in authority the wisdom to deal with the situation when they arise. Thank you for the donation from the Bob Weimer estate for the purchase of three hundred computers to minister to them.

We pray that Your Word will be faithfully and accurately proclaimed and read in our schools, especially in the public schools. Lord, we thank You that You said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” We proclaim this as Your heart and with faith believe You have opened doors for the children of Colorado to come to You. We ask You would take the shackles off the schools in the Mighty Name of Jesus! Only God’s righteous hands on our children in Jesus’ Name! Thank You, Lord, for Clint Anderson bringing attention to the vaping of substances happening in Morgan schools. Lord, help the parents to be aware and help them; also help the school administrators and teachers to see what is happening and give them solutions to help the students.

We declare "nothing without providence" in every level of Colorado government. We speak an awakening in our state government, all lawmakers, justices, staff, aides, attorneys and even the security forces. We say, “Awake and know the King of Glory.” We bind up any manipulation in any of the governments of Morgan County in the mighty Name of Jesus! Lord, bring wisdom to funding decisions of those in authority in Morgan County. Lord, we ask that You bring Your wisdom and discernment to the leaders in Morgan County.

We thank You, Lord, for blessing each believing Colorado First Responders with a new outlook on their role in serving You and Your people in 2024.Infuse each believing First Responder with a renewed commitment to serve You with their whole minds and hearts and spirits knowing that in serving others, they are truly serving You. We thank You, Lord, for the volunteer fire departments of Morgan County. These are dedicated and selfless individuals. Also, we are thankful for the ambulance service in Morgan County.

As we begin 2024, we declare that the hearts and minds of every artist, speaker, performer, leader, creative director, and all Christ-believers in Colorado are made new and renewed in the mind of Christ Jesus. Let each Coloradoan now be recharged in Spirit as we allow Creator God to breathe new life in us, on us, and through us. Rev 21:5, Eph. 4: 23. Lord, bless the artisans and artists in Morgan County preparing their gifts to share with others this coming year.

We declare Prov 14:34 over people in every form of media throughout Colorado: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” Let every worker in media have an encounter with the living God which brings conviction of sin and aligns them spiritually, morally, emotionally and ethically with the mind of Christ. Lord, we are grateful for Christians in the media in Morgan County. Thank you for Your blessings!

Special prayers today for the Colorado Life Initiative. Lord, bring more people into the organization and bless the work of the organization in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

Prayers for Pat Shriver’s husband, Michael, as he is recovering from back surgery, Pat is a member of this Morgan County prayer group. Bless Pat, too, Lord. Father, bring reconciliation to the Fairchild family. Lord, You are the God of miracles, and we ask for a miracle for them. Lord, be with Kathy Zwetzig, also a member of this prayer group. Comfort her, Lord, as only You can do.

We thank You, our Father, that You have put a new song in the mouth of Morgan County and Colorado believers and that many will hear it and put their trust in You for 2024. (Ps 40:3). We thank You, O Lord, for giving Your people across Colorado a new heart and a new spirit to fervently love You and the people around us in 2024. (Ezekiel: 36:26). We thank You, Almighty God, for causing new things to spring forth; for shifting and changing hearts for a breakthrough, a restoration in Your Bride in this new year. (Isaiah 43:18-19) We are thankful for the seeds that have been planted in Morgan County for our Lord, Jesus Christ. We ask You would light a spark under those seeds that they would grow and multiply. Luke 8:15 “But the seeds in good soil are those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, cling to it, and by persevering produces a crop.” We declare the seeds will flourish and grow! Psalm 92: 12-15 NKJV. “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness In Him.” Amen.
